
Classic Banana Bread
Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 0.33 cup melted butter
- 0.5 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 1.5 cup all-purpose flour
Steps
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix mashed bananas with melted butter.
- Stir in sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla until combined.
- Sprinkle baking soda and salt over the mixture and stir.
- Add flour last and mix until just combined — don't overmix.
- Pour batter into a greased loaf pan.
- Bake 50–60 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan 10 minutes, then slice and serve.
